‘Buds to Bloom’ 2026: The Going Down Ceremony of the  Translation Studies Undergraduates

The 'Buds to Bloom' Going Down Ceremony 2026, organised by the third-year undergraduates of the Translation Studies degree programme, Department of Linguistics, was held on Friday, 06 March 2026, at the K14 Auditorium of the Faculty of Humanities, University of Kelaniya.

The event was held to commemorate and celebrate the academic journey of the final-year students, symbolising their transformation from new entrants to the university into soon-to-be graduates.

The ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of the Head of the Department, Rev. Dr Kapugollawe Anandakiththi Thero, along with members of the academic staff and students representing all batches.

The programme featured a series of performances and commemorative segments, contributing to a dignified and memorable occasion for all participants.
