Dr. Vindhya Weerawardhane is a Senior Lecturer in Linguistics at the Department of Linguistics, University of Kelaniya. A distinguished alumna of the university, she obtained her Bachelor of Arts (Hons.), Master of Arts, Master of Philosophy, and Doctor of Philosophy in Linguistics from the University of Kelaniya. Her scholarly work is deeply rooted in the structural and evolutionary aspects of language, with specific research focus on the Sinhala verb system and classical literary texts.
