Ms. Kavitha Arundaharan is a Senior Lecturer in Tamil Language at the Department of Linguistics, University of Kelaniya. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) and a Master of Philosophy from the University of Jaffna, providing her with a rigorous foundation in classical and modern Tamil studies. Her academic contributions are characterized by an interdisciplinary approach, with significant research into feminist perspectives in modern Tamil literature and the sociolinguistic challenges of Tamil language acquisition. Since joining the University of Kelaniya, she has been instrumental in developing Tamil as a second language curriculum, bridging linguistic gaps through both her teaching and her published research.
